I have come to the conclusion that doing chalk drawings is the messiest type of art. Sure pottery can be messy but that is nothing compared to the amount of chalk dust that seems to get everywhere. I have found chalk dust in places I didn't even know chalk dust could get into after doing a chalk drawing! Maybe there is a magical chalk fairy that floats around and puts chalk dust in places that shouldn't have chalk dust. I mean seriously! How do you end up with chalk dust in your EARS!!! I really hate when people draw the actors that play characters in movies based off of books. You aren't drawing the character, you are drawing the actor. It may be a very good drawing or painting or whatever of that actor but it isn't the character. Be creative people! Use what is described in the books to create an amazing portrait of a character. Don't use an actor's portrayl.
